Purpose and Profile:
The Application Technician role is responsible for the configuration and testing of the Perito product suite (our integrated payroll & HR software) and associated reporting tools. In addition you will be responsible for executing change controls, product testing, user documentation and quality assurance processes. Accuracy and attention to detail are vital for this role to ensure that we get it “right first time” for our customers. The role is customer facing therefore it is vital you have good communication skills and a customer centric approach.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for all configuration and testing activities, this includ:
- Receiving and executing Client requirements within the Perito product suite, including Payroll, HR, eHR, Eureka Report Writer and Analyser
- Testing all aspects of the Client Service configured
- Creating and maintaining test plans
- Liaising directly with clients to gain required clarification on configuration requirements
- Devising balancing and checking routines to ensure a risk free Client process
- Implement change controls within the agreed timeframe ensuring the client is pro-actively managed through the process
- Migration and balancing of client data
- Creation of instructions for the Operations users and Clients
- Creating and updating manuals and procedures
- Identify product improvements to add value, efficiency and reduction of risk
Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 years previous experience of delivering excellent customer service, in a customer focused environment
- Previous experience of Perito Payroll and Eureka (or equivalent payroll and report writing software)
- Understanding of Interface files between different software applications
- IPP qualified or working towards IPP qualification
- Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office package e.g. Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to quickly and fully understand new software applications with minimal supervision
- Inquisitive and natural aptitude to software applications
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of client demands and Equiniti ICS commercials
- Ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to think logically and troubleshoot problems

- Previous experience of working within a payroll/HR environment
- Previous experience in configuring software
- Basic SQL Knowledge
- Previous experience in delivering Consultancy to a Client
- Previous experience in delivering Training Courses
- Experience in conducting client meetings
- Six Sigma Qualification
- Creating technical specifications
- Experience in working in a software implementation environment
