Leading IT solutions provider ICS Computing has won a contract to 'cater' for Bunzl McLaughlin's computing needs by providing them with a fully integrated financial accounts solution. Bunzl McLaughlin is part of Bunzl PLC which is one of the world's fastest growing specialist distribution groups having a turnover of over 3.5 billion.

The new contract is also a major milestone for ICS as it marks 2m in orders for its Perito Accounts system in the last 18 months, affirming its position as the leading software accounting product in the mid-tier space in Northern Ireland. The Bunzl solution will be managed and hosted in the ICS Computer Centre in Belfast and initially will be rolled out to over 70 users.

Supplying over 10,000 products to hotels, restaurants, hospitals and nursing homes, shipping lines and air and railway lines across Ireland, Bunzl required a solution capable of managing high volumes of products, complex pricing and discounting, special prices, promotions, rebates, and volume discounts. Richard Kelly, Financial Director of Bunzl McLaughlin commented, "The Bunzl Group had been finding it increasingly difficult to get the sort of responsive supplier and partner that allows us to concentrate on developing our rapidly expanding business. ICS convinced us that they could become the partner we needed, and they have delivered exactly what they promised. It was a bonus that ICS could provide a fully hosted solution, relieving us from the burden of maintaining the technical expertise needed to run sophisticated computer systems. ICS has now taken over the management of both our Distribution Accounting and Office applications."
