ICS Computing Joins Business in the Community Programme

03 April 2009

ICS Computing has recently become a member of Business in the Community (www.bitcni.org.uk). ICS Computing joins companies such as the BBC and BT to publicly demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility.

Business in the Community is an organisation that works with businesses to improve their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) credentials, offering advice and programmes tailored to meet their needs. BITC is one of The Prince's Charities and its purpose is to inspire, engage, support and challenge its member companies to create a more positive impact on society. Their campaigning priorities include tackling climate change and developing the talent and skills of the existing and future workforce.

Nigel Farr, General Manager of ICS Computing commented: "We are constantly looking for new ways to lessen our impact to the environment while helping our employees realise the importance of corporate responsibly. Being a member of Business in the Community is another avenue for us to pursue these goals and share practices with other like-minded companies."

ICS Computing is discussing programme ideas with Business in the Community and this is likely to include employee volunteering opportunities, giving assistance to local schools and community organisations and support for a "Charity of the Year".

Equiniti ICS will actively work in the community to help make a change for the better and give its bit back to the external environment.
